This is the Frank Ungarten Fino. Frank bought this boat new at the NYC boat show. Here is what Frank JR had to say:
"My father told me that when he first took delivery of his Fino it had
small blocks and electronic push-button transmissions. He always had
issues with the transmissions so when Flagship Marine built the turbo
engines for him, they got rid of the transmissions.
I'm not sure exactly what year he took delivery of his boat but he made
the purchase at the NYC Boat Show and it was built at Magnum. He made
many trips to Magnum during the build process.
When the turbo engines where installed they had to put governors on the
engines because once the boat hit about 65 mph it would push the nose
down and lift the stern. I'm sure different style props these days
would have helped but I was told it happened because of the V-drives??"

This picture was taken by Frank JR when he was in Norwalk CT when he was in his 20'S. He lifted the cover to uncover a Fino. He knew it was a Fino having grown up on one. He hopes to someday get the exact Fino his Father owned back and restore it. We hope so.
